West Midlands Police have re-issued an appeal to help locate Penny, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who was stolen from Brownhills just before Christmas.

Penny slipped out of her home in Bradford Road at around 3pm on December 23 and was spotted by a local carer, who tried to help find her owner.

A man who was with a young child in a red car, believed to be a WV Golf, claimed Penny was his and drove off with her.

Penny has not been seen since and her 77-year-old owner has said he is very distressed at her loss and wants to get her back.

Anyone who saw anything or has any information about Penny is asked to contact West Midlands Police via Live Chat or by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 20WS/32257N/20.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
