Central Motorway Police Group detailed what its B Unit encountered on Wednesday.

The group tweeted saying: "B Unit back on days, working to keep everyone safe on our bit of the motorway network. We had a busy one yesterday...

"Started the morning training with road policing on operating weighbridges and dealing with overweight vehicles.

"Also had three prisoners to deal with after a pursuit in Perry Barr the previous evening with a West Mercia Police cloned stolen car. Interviewed and ready for CPS charging advice on a number of offences.

"Van stopped M6 J6 carrying clinical waste. Dangerous goods needing proper safety measures, which were found to be inadequate. Driver and company reported to court and HSE.

"A38(M) and ANPR does its thing, picking up a car used by a male wanted on warrant. Don’t turn up for community service and we might turn up and arrest you.

"Another driver, late for work, hitting over 100mph, cutting up and overtaking numerous vehicles on the inside. Didn’t notice the marked car following. Cause this sort of risk to others and risk being stopped. Driver late for work and a likely court appearance awaits.

"Another wanted male stopped M54. Arrest sought in relation to ongoing domestic risk. This can be some of the most serious offending. Arrested and handed to detectives so we can ensure protection and positive outcomes.

"Also, more training on our soon-to-arrive new HGV articulated lorry, two vehicles seized for no insurance, and a person reported to court for breach of Covid-19 regulations. There’s more but we’re back out now to see what today brings."
