Arrest after driver fails to stop for police in Stafford

A man has been arrested after a driver failed to stop for police in Stafford.

Police said the incident concluded in Browning Street at 11.15pm and a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and theft from a motor vehicle.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers responded to a vehicle which failed to stop in Stafford last night.

"The incident concluded in the Browning Street area of the town at around 11.15pm.

"A 40-year-old man, from the Stafford area, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and theft from a motor vehicle.

"Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 0656 of January 4, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
