M6 carriageway closed for police search
Drivers on the M6 suffered delays to their journeys after closure due to a police incident.

Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) were forced to close the southbound carriageway between junctions 4A and 5 after seeing someone running across the carriageway.
The incident on Friday saw officers from CMPG and West Midlands Police dogs division search the undergrowth around the carriageway, near Birmingham.
The motorway was reopened around 2.22am.
It was not confirmed whether the person was found and West Midlands Police has been contacted for a quote.
