Specialist officers took 3,605 plants off the streets of the region with a series of raids on drugs factories.

The team was set up to deal with a huge rise in cannabis factories around the region.

Many of them are ordinary homes concerted into drugs farms. But they are often left in unsafe condition, with electricity rerouted and with lighting that can spark fires.

Recent discoveries by the team include one at a house fire in Oldbury.

The 120 plants were discovered when firefighters arrived at the address on Hagley Road West .

It was revealed last year that a cannabis factory was raided by police in the Black Country every three days.
