Alleged Willenhall wife killer appears in court

A man accused of murdering his wife in Willenhall has appeared in court.

Azad Singh, aged 46, spoke only to confirm his name at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday.

He has been charged with murdering Kulwinder Kaur, 40, who was found dead at The Pinnacle block of flats on Gomer Street last week.

He is also charged with wounding a 39-year-old man.

The Italian national, also of The Pinnacle, is due to appear next at a plea and trial hearing on February 28.

A trial has been fixed for July 17.

No pleas have been entered to either of the charges. He was remanded in custody.
