CCTV image of suspects released as teenager stabbed minutes after leaving Dixy Chicken

These three suspects are being sought after a teenager was stabbed during an attempted robbery minutes after he left a Dixy Chicken takeaway.

Police today released a CCTV image of three men they want to question in connection with the violent attack in Walsall.

The teenager became the fifth knife attack victim in the Black Country in just 14 days.

The 18-year-old was knifed after being tailed by a gang who spotted him leaving a Dixy Chicken fast food restaurant in Pleck at around 8pm on October 22.

He was followed from Wednesbury Road towards Ford Street where they demanded his mobile phone.

After refusing to hand over the phone officers say he was stabbed in the chest and thigh.

The attackers then running off in the direction of Darlaston.

The victim was taken to hospital but police say fortunately his injuries were not life-threatening.

Officers are keen to trace these men, who are believed to be in their late teens.

Two are described as mixed race and another is black.

Speaking after the attack Dixy Chicken worker Jamal Gul, aged 17, who had served the victim said: "I only know him from when he pops into the shop but he is a really nice lad."
