Niron Parker-Lee, aged 19 and from Brierley Hill, is wanted in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Mr Mahmood, who died after being stabbed in broad daylight three weeks ago.

Parker-Lee is described as dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.

Mr Mahmood died in hospital after staggering into Dixi Chicken on Brierley Hill High Street with stab wounds shortly before 5pm on October 15.

Ahmad Sherzad was serving customers in the takeaway when the victim stumbled in bleeding heavily.

Mr Sherzad, aged 20, said: "He had a hand to his waist and blood was coming out.

"He came up to counter and said 'help me' before fainting on to the floor.

"I went outside and called an ambulance."

Police look for clues after the killing

Police, who have scoured CCTV footage from Brierley Hill High Street in the weeks since the attack, believe Mahmood may have known his killer and have made several pleas for witnesses to come forward.

So far no arrests have been made.

Detective Inspector Harry Harrison, from West Midlands Police's homicide unit, said: "It's important we locate Niron Parker-Lee as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact us.

"Someone knows where this man is and I'd remind them that harbouring a wanted man is a criminal offence and you may also face prosecution. "

The attack capped a shocking eight days during which Dudley borough was rocked by three stabbings.

A 22-year-old man was stabbed in Lower Gornal before an 18-year-old man was critically injured in a stabbing on Sedgley high street.

Any sightings of Parker-Lee should be reported to police immediately on 999.
