Camran Green murder: Two arrests after Wednesbury teenager stabbed to death 50 miles from home

Two people have been arrested following the fatal stabbing of Camran Green, the Wednesbury 17-year-old killed 50 miles away from his home.

A man, 31, was arrested in the early hours of the morning on suspicion of murder, while a woman aged 44 was held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Camran died in hospital on Monday after being stabbed in the stomach in Cheltenham hours earlier.

The arrests were made in Cheltenham.

Det Ch Insp Ruth Mather said: "I would personally like to thank everyone who contacted the police following our appeal.

"We have made two arrests overnight and will be questioning the individuals later today."

Mother Emma Green, 35, of Staffordshire, paid tribute to her son who had barely turned 17. She said he would 'do anything for anybody'.

And she said she has no idea why her son was in Cheltenham – 50 miles from his home in Wednesbury.

Ms Green said: "Everybody loved him. He could get along with everybody and he had lots of friends.

"Camran was a lovely guy. He got along with anybody and was loved by loads.

"He would do anything for anybody so for something like this to happen.

"I don't understand why people have to use weapons when they know full well what consequences it has.
