Two arrested for murder after 23-year-old stabbed to death in Wolverhampton

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in Wolverhampton on Saturday morning.

The suspects, aged 36 and 33, were arrested in Whitmore Reans yesterday after the victim was found with multiple stab wounds on Carter Road.

The pair were detained at separate locations at 12pm and 10pm respectively and remained in custody on Sunday morning.

Police have confirmed that the victim was aged 23, although formal identification is still yet to take place. A forensic post-mortem is due to happen today.

The victim was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after 8am on Saturday, an hour after being found on the street with multiple stab wounds.

Carter Road was sealed off throughout the day and a blue police tent was in place while forensic officers examined the scene.

Police believe the victim was targeted and have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
