Simon Johnson murder: Two more teenagers arrested over stab death of Netherton father

Two more teenagers have been arrested over the murder of Simon Johnson, who was found stabbed to death in Netherton.

The pair, aged 15 and 18 were held last night, were held on suspicion of murdering Mr Johnson, who was 41 and a father of two.

The younger of the two has already been released on bail, while the older was being questioned today.

Two other teenagers, also aged 15 and 18, were arrested over the weekend and released on bail.

Mr Johnson's body was found at an address on Cradley Road in Netherton on Thursday.

He had been a fitter at Black Country Glazing for 25 years, joining at the age of 17.

Det Insp Warren Hines, who is leading the investigation, said: "This enquiry is progressing but we still need anyone who saw anything out of the ordinary in the area before last Thursday morning to contact us."

Speaking after the death, Gemma Howell, office manager at Black Country Glazing, said: "Black Country Glazing would like to pay tribute to one of our employees who has sadly passed away.

"Everyone here is devastated that we have lost one of our own who was not just an employee but a friend as well.

"All our staff and friends are paying tribute to our greatly missed friend and all our thoughts are with the family during this devastating time."
