Woman seriously injured after stabbing on Black Country street
A woman has been left seriously injured after she was stabbed on a Black Country street in the early hours of this morning.
The 47-year-old was found on the street and rushed to hospital after police and paramedics were called to Field Road, in Tipton, at around 1.40am.
A 40-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were arrested at a house on the same street on suspicion of assault and continue to help police with their enquiries.
Officers were still on the scene hours later on Tuesday morning and the area remains cordoned while forensic experts examine the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Field Road, Tipton at around 1.40am following reports of a disorder.
"When police arrived they found a 47-year-old woman in the street with a stab injury.
"She was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"Detectives have launched an investigation and are appealing to anyone with information to call them on 101."
