£180k cannabis found at Great Barr house

At least £180,000 worth of cannabis has been found by police at a house in Great Barr.

The factory was discovered by neighbourhood police officers at a property on Walsall Road on Wednesday afternoon, where 365 plants were seized.

The cannabis was spread across four rooms and the loft of the property was used for cultivation.

West Midlands Police said the electricity had been not been used legally.

A vehicle had also been seized following the find.

An officer said: "A vehicle associated with cannabis factory seized for used in crime by PCSO Norris and Peebles."

Residents living locally also praised the work of officers.

The Cannabis Disposal Team said in a tweet: "Positive feedback from local residents too. #SaferStreets"
