Nearly 200 watches stolen in Wolverhampton Mander Centre raid

Nearly 200 watches were stolen by thieves from a repair shop at Wolverhampton's Mander Centre.

Raiders forced open a back door to gain access to the shopping centre and broke into a mobile watch repair unit sometime between 5pm on Friday and 5am on Saturday.

They smashed a glass display cabinet and took 194 watches, worth between £3-4,000, from brands include Casio, Lotus, Rotary, Accurist and Sekonda.

Three Huarex watches were among the stolen items. Police said they were not stocked by any other UK retailer.

Anyone offered any of these watches for sale in person or have seen them for sale online has been asked to contact Dc Gary Thompson on 101, or email contactus@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk

West Midlands Police added: "We are also eager to hear from anyone who believes they know the identity of those responsible for the burglary."
