Kenichi Phillips death: Second person charged with teenager's murder
A second person has been charged with the murder of Kenichi Phillips who was shot dead as he sat in a car in Birmingham.
Dean Silvera, aged 37, of Stanford Grove, Perry Barr was arrested yesterday morning. He has been remanded into custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
18-year-old Mr Phillips was shot dead as he sat in a black Seat Leon on St Marks Crescent in the Ladywood area of the city just before 7pm on Thursday, March 17.

Speaking after his son's death, the father of Mr Phillips revealed that he was to become a father. He said: "Kenichi was only 18-years-old. He was a great-grandson, a grandson, a cousin, nephew, brother, son and friend who was loved and will not get the chance to see his son born."
Post-mortem results revealed Mr Phillips died from a single gunshot wound.

It follows the arrest and charge of a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named due to his age, in April. Meanwhile a 22-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder the day after the shooting, is still on police bail pending further enquiries.
