Thieves stole thousands of pounds of equipment and ransacked offices during a spate of burglaries at a charity base in Kingswinford.

Good News Recycling, which helps ex-offenders get back on track, was first targeted by thieves in early March and has been hit again on five separate occasions since.

The raiders have forced their way inside by cutting padlocks off the gate, smashing a window at the rear of the building and even climbing in through the toilet roof.

Several flat screen televisions, £250 petty cash and personal belongings have been taken with offices and washing machines destroyed.

The charity is linked with Dudley Police's Offender Management Team so former offenders can use their skills to renovate furniture that can then be sold to help vulnerable people.
