West Bromwich stabbing: Three arrested for murder after man dies in Stone Cross

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died and another was seriously injured in West Bromwich.

Two men and a woman were detained by police after officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Campville Crescent, Stone Cross, at around 1.50pm today.

A man believed to be in his early 40s died at the scene.

Another man, believed to be in his early 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The three suspects were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

Detective Inspector Warren Hines from Force CID said: "We are investigating what happened this afternoon. We do believe that these people are known to each and that there is no risk to the public. Enquiries are at an early stage and officers are looking at CCTV and taking witness statements. Forensic investigations are on-gong at the scene.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time to please get in touch. If you have any information about what took place please call and ask to speak to me on 101."
