Hugh Hines, 23, of Tennyson Road, Bushbury, was arrested when police targeted The Talisman pub on March 4.

The pub has been closed since the raid, when crack cocaine, digital scales and several bags and wraps of cannabis were found in the bar and toilets. Four people were arrested at the time.

A licensing sub-committee earlier this month heard that the air was pungent with the smell of cannabis when around 40 officers with sniffer dogs arrived. They also uncovered £800 of herbal cannabis in the upstairs living quarters and cannabis production equipment in the cellar.

There will be a full review tomorrow when its longer-term future will be decided.

Hines was bailed to appear before the city's magistrates on April 14.
