Cash and £2k of cannabis seized at Wolverhampton train station

A bag containing £2,000 worth of cannabis was found at Wolverhampton railway station on Friday, it was revealed today.

In addition to the bagful of drugs, around £1,000 in cash was seized by British Transport Police at around 9.45pm.

The officers made an arrest and seized the money and marijuana after receiving a text message tip-off from a member of the public.

The watchful traveller spotted a man acting suspiciously and notified the transport police via their 61016 text service.

  • Daniel Sheldon, aged 33, and from Sowdley Green, Wheaton Aston, was due at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
