Officers swooped on the property at Kingsley Street in Pleck at 10.12am yesterday.

They discovered four rooms full of cannabis plants and removed 152 in total which will all be destroyed.

West Midlands Police's Cannabis Disposal Team posted images of the raid to more than 2,400 followers on their official Twitter account.

The pictures showed plants covering the entire floor of one room while electric lighting could be seen rigged up overhead.

The post said: "If you live in Kingsley Street #Pleck and are missing four rooms full of #cannabis don't panic. We have it. Merry Xmas!"

In November the force seized an estimated £2.5 million worth of cannabis taking the total for the year to nearly £20m.
