Dudley murder probe: Husband charged with killing wife Jackie Abbott

The husband of a 54-year-old Dudley woman who died from severe head injuries on Friday has been charged with her murder.

Businessman Paul Abbott, aged 56, from Lodge Crescent, Netherton, has been charged with killing his wife, Jacqueline Abbott, 54, at their home on Friday.

He will appear before Dudley Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police officers were called to the Lodge Crescent address at around 4.25pm on Friday following reports of a disorder.

Mrs Abbott was found with severe head injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Neighbour Michelle Lane, who had known Mrs Abbott for around six years, said: "She was a really lovely and nice lady."
