Wolverhampton sex attack: Police seek man caught on CCTV after Penn runner attacked
This man was being sought by police today after a woman out running was sexually assaulted in Wolverhampton.
The victim, aged 35, was approached from behind and attacked in an alleyway off Westminster Avenue, Penn.
Police have now stepped up patrols in the area and want to speak to the man to see if he has information, or if he can be eliminated from the investigation.
Detective Inspector Michelle Thurgood from the force's Public Protection Unit said: "We need to identify the man who was captured on CCTV near to where the attack took place as he may have vital information about the incident. We are appealing to the man to come forward or for anyone who recognises him to contact us.
"Local neighbourhood officers have stepped up reassurance patrols in the area."
