Walsall man facing five attempted murder charges crash

An engineer from Walsall will today appear in court charged with attempted murder after a car was allegedly driven at a man and another car.

Samuel Rogers, 45, of Redford Drive was charged this morning with five counts of attempted murder and drink driving.

The charges are in connection with a crash in Melchett Road, Kings Norton on Tuesday evening at 7.15pm where a car was driven at a man and a car.

The 52-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital and a 53-year-old woman – also injured in the collision – is in a serious but stable condition.
