Drugs worth £75k found in Walsall car search, court told

Heroin and crack cocaine said to be worth £75,000 was seized after police officers pulled over a car in Walsall.

Ruhul Ahmed appeared before the town's magistrates yesterday to face allegations of possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine and supplying heroin on January 3.

Mrs Kelly Crowe, prosecuting said the charges relate to the discovery of drugs inside a Citroen, in Fellows Park Gardens, Bescot.

An application for bail was denied.

The 23-year-old of Wednesbury Road, Walsall, will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court March 31 for a plea hearing.
