Sisters desperately seeking workspace to help clients

There were never two such devoted sisters as Debbie Bissell and Nikki Ensor, who are also business partners but who desperately need to find suitable premises to help their clients.

Debbie is an occupational therapist and sensory integration practitioner, supporting adults and children with autism, trauma and learning disabilities, and Nikki is also an occupational therapist.

The two sisters, based in Sedgley, have found that by working together they complement each other.

They had worked from a shared workspace but because of the Covid pandemic have had to search for another location, but this is turning out to be very difficult to find.

Now Debbie, whose company trades by the name LDOT Consultants, and is also known as Black Country Sensory Integration Therapy Services, has appealed to anyone with a workspace which they are willing to rent, lease, or even provide free-of-charge, to get in touch.

Debbie said: "I am desperately seeking premises in the Black Country from which I can run the business.

Dedicated

"I assess and treat children and adults with autism, trauma and learning disabilities and have more than 25 clients on the books but because of Covid-19 have not been able to offer my help in the way I would wish because of the lack of workspace.

"The business is Sedgley-based and I was sharing a space, but because of the pandemic have needed to find new accommodation.

"This has proved very difficult and I am hoping to find a dedicated space in the Black Country and preferably in the Wolverhampton or Dudley area.

"I offer specialised sensory therapy for people across the Black Country who are referred from statutory services as well as to private individuals.

"I use specialist equipment and packing it away is no longer an option so I need a permanent space.

"At the moment without the space I need I cannot give people the real therapy they need.

"I don't mind renting a space from a business unrelated to what I do but I have approached many organisations without success."

Anyone interested in providing space for the business is asked to contact Debbie by emailing learningdisabilityotconsultant@gmail.com
