Zoe Roberts, aged 27, can usually be found on the customer service desk at the store where she works in The Crown Centre in Stourbridge and has only recently taken on the role of Community Champion.

She is determined to help the store and staff reach out into the community and is keen to let people know of the work being done.

Zoe said the store was holding a special fundraising event today and tomorrow and celebrating their 20th anniversary of working in partnership with the charity.

“As part of this we will have display boards, stalls and holding a Pamper Hamper raffle as well as a pre-owned book sale with all items sanitised before they go on sale.

“Customers will also have the opportunity to donate via a QR code on their smart phones or they will be able to give cash or round up their shopping bill to the nearest pound when they visit the tills.

“People will also be able to guess the number of sweet in a jar and all proceeds will go to the charity.

“We are also updating out special tribute wall to the National Health Service and are currently running a poster competition.

"We would like as many people as possible to enter the competition based around the theme of Who Has Been Your Lockdown Hero?

“There will be prizes for children up to seven-years-old and for those who are seven and over. We are hoping that people will want to enter and share their lockdown stories.

“Information about a virtual five kilometre Race for Life at Home and local races, which have been postponed because of the pandemic until later this year, will also be handed out.

I will be at the front of the store so that people will be able to find me and ask questions about all our fundraising projects.”
