The team at Classic Motor Cars (CMC), Bridgnorth, were given a special mention in the 2020 Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards for their work restoring a 1954 Lancia Auerlia B20 GT.

The car was given to the youngsters by David Barzilay, of CMC, who said: “It’s great for the apprentices, particularly as they’re all so young, to have received this mention.

“I gave them this car to work on and gain some experience. It’s safe to say they’ve done a great job.”

Jeremy Vaughan, head of motoring at the Royal Automobile Club, said: “The judges chose to select the 1954 Lancia Auerlia B20 GT for a special mention, not just because of its now-stunning condition but also as its restoration was entirely managed and undertaken by a small group of young apprentices at Classic Motor Cars.”
