We've been trying to pin down the occasion of this photo in our archives, which has the bare and tentative details "Wolves v Sheffield United? Sheffield United coming out of the dressing room".

We know it is indeed Sheffield United emerging at Molineux, as that's Harry Hooper on the left, who was a United stalwart from 1930 to 1947.

A possibility, or so we thought, was Wolves' 2-2 draw with United in a FA Cup Fourth Round game played at Molineux on January 30, 1937.

However, that was a bitterly cold day in which there was lying snow, so the lack of visible lying snow and the fact that the crowd doesn't appear to be especially wrapped up for freezing weather raised doubts.
