Teen fled into nursery after being stabbed in Tipton High Street

An investigation has been launched after a teenager was stabbed in Tipton High Street in broad daylight.

A police investigation is underway

An 18-year-old man was attacked at around 3.30pm on January 26 and ran into a nearby children’s nursery for help.

Staff at the nursery called 999.

The man was taken to hospital with multiple stab injuries.

At present his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A scene is currently being held for forensic examination to help detectives determine the circumstances around this attack.

CCTV is being reviewed as police investigations are ongoing and neighbourhood officers are out conducting reassurance patrols in the area.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack, and will be questioned on suspicion of attempted murder in due course.
