The Great Big Thank You Awards: Help your child's teacher get top marks
The deadline is approaching fast to help your child's teacher come top of the class.
Whatever they've done, however they're helped, the Express & Star would like to hear from you.
The Express & Star's Great Big Thank You Awards is open for nominations for the prestigious category of Teacher of the Year.
Those nominated for the acclaimed title will not only have a chance to be invited to attend a special awards ceremony on January 19 at the Molineux, surrounded by celebrities and well-known personalities from across the region.
But they will also hear why they are so important to their students and the community.
Nominations close by midnight on August 21.
Tomorrow is D-day for thousands of A-level students.
And while your child has their fingers crossed for exam success, teachers across the Midlands will be on hand to celebrate or commiserate in equal measure.
So now is time to say thank you for their efforts and nominate them for special recognition.
The award is one of ten that anyone can be nominated for, including Unsung Sporting Hero of the Year, Angel of the Year, Inspirational Leader of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Young Star of the Year, Community Champion of the Year, Grandparents of the Year, Fundraiser of the Year or Environmentalist of the Year.
The aim of the awards is to put the spotlight on the people who bring our communities together. Someone, who makes a difference to where you live, the work you do, or those you care about.
So far, those who have endorsed the awards include well known stage and television star Sir Lenny Henry CBE.

X Factor star Joe Whelan also urged people to nominate their unsung heroes with more to follow.
