Ideas put forward include resurfacing car parks, repairing signs and maintaining benches.

Cannock Chase District Council's regeneration boss Diane Todd said: "Our town centres and other shopping areas are really important to us and we realise we need to invest in them."

"We want to make them as attractive as possible for our residents and visitors, to encourage people to spent time in them and increase the potential for small businesses where possible."

Suggestions on uses for the funding can be submitted to the council over the next 12 months.
