The three-time World Cup winner will be at the Vox Conference Centre at the NEC for a meet and greet on June 3.

A meeting with the striker, who scored 77 goals for his country in 91 appearances between 1957 and 1971, will cost anything from £100 up to £790 for platinum packages.

Pele last graced the Second City with Santos in 1972, during a 2-1 defeat to an Villa side that was plying their trade in the old Third Division at the time.

His side may have lost, but the 50,000 strong crowd were treated to a sumptuous display by the star striker during that winter's night under the floodlights in February 1972.

Pele was appointed extraordinary minister for sport by Brazilian president Fernando Henrique Cardosa when he retired.

He also became a UNESCO goodwill ambassador and made it on to the big screen appearing alongside Sylvester Stallone and Michael Caine, and fellow footballers Bobby Moore and John Wark, in the 1981 movie, Escape To Victory.

The Vox date, which includes a meal and Brazilian music, has been arranged by Box Frog Promotions and Prestige Events.
