Meals on wheels: Pensioner arrives at drive-thru on mobility scooter

This is the definition of meals on wheels – a pensioner travelling in style as he collects his KFC takeaway at a drive-thru.

Onlookers at the fast food chain couldn't believe their eyes when the elderly man made his way through the queue to collect his finger-licking chicken.

How long it took him to get there might be another question, as mobility scooters are not necessarily known for their high speed.

The picture was taken by Twitter user @outinbrum, with the caption: "I just had to LOL and take a pic."

The pensioner is seen paying for his food at the branch in Charford Road, Bromsgrove, while the cashier doesn't seem to take a blind bit of notice at his unusual type of transport, with a car waiting patiently behind him.

Hopefully he got home in time to enjoy his meal while it was still warm, as scooters have a maximum speed of up to 8mph.
