Staffordshire Police spokeswoman Hazel Dockery said: "Officers have been dealing with multiple cases of criminal damage to vehicles overnight in the Silkmore, Rising Brook and Highfields areas of Stafford.

"Twelve vehicles were damaged by unknown offenders.

"The vehicles had smashed windows more than anything.

"We are linking the incidents."

The roads where vehicles were targeted were Exeter Street, Bagets Oak, Poplar Way, Penkvale Road, Morton Road and Southfields Road.
