Missing Stafford man found safe and well

Officers searching for the 56-year-old found him in the Stafford area this afternoon.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "He is uninjured and has been taken to a place of safety. His immediate family have been informed.

"We'd like to thank members of the public, and media, for sharing our appeal to locate him. The Facebook appeal was shared over 500 times and reached just under 35,000 people."

Mr Preston, from the Wildwood area of Stafford, went missing on December 28.
