Jackie Abbott, aged 54, was discovered at the property in Lodge Crescent last month.

Kind-hearted fundraisers have now donated a total of £1,750 to the fundraising campaign set up by close family friends Ryan Hayes and Dave Whitehouse.

The pair initially set a target of £1,200 to help Jackie's sons Ryan and Martyn deal with the aftermath of the tragedy.

But thanks to support from the local community they have smashed that barrier and donations continue to flood in.

Jackie's husband Paul Abbott was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with her murder.

The 56-year-old is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on March 15.
