Police renew appeal over Essington pedestrian collision

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a crash in Essington at the weekend in which a pedestrian was seriously injured.

The incident occurred at about 7.20pm on Sunday on the B4156 Essington to Wolverhampton Road, when a green Volkswagen Polo was in collision with the female pedestrian.

The woman remains at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where she is being treated for serious injuries.

A spokesman said: "Police are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the Volkswagen or the female pedestrian prior to the collision or the collision itself. Officers are also keen to speak to two men who were seen in the area at the time."

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 635 of December 6.
