Thieves take bikes worth £10k after smashing family's garage roof

Three bikes worth £10,000 were stolen from a family's garage by thieves who smashed their way in through the roof.

The bikes, including a £5,000 downhill racer, were taken in an early-hours break-in at the home of the Turner family in Faintree, near Bridgnorth on September 15.

Two belonged to 18-year-old Harry Turner, who races for Clee Cycles in Bridgnorth. As a result he had to miss a national championship event in Wales.

Mother Meg Turner, 49, said the other bike belonged to her husband, Simon.

The break-in took place early on Tuesday September 15, when the Turner family were asleep.

The three bikes stolen were a Clee Cycles self-build in black and bright green, with NS bikes Fuzz frame and Fox 40 forks; a Merida 160 in brown and a Sunn charger S1 in white and red. Anyone with information on this theft should ring 101 quoting incident refereence number 0174-S-150915.
