Man found with head injuries in Stafford

Police in Stafford are appealing for information after a man was found in Stafford with head injuries last night.

Officers were called in the Cull Avenue in the town at around 10pm last night, to a report of a man in his 30s who was lying near the junction with Weston Road.

Colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service provided immediate treatment and the man was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

At this stage it is not known how the man sustained his injury and anyone with information is urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 899 of August 22 or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
