The Black Country funnyman stars in and wrote 'Danny and the Human Zoo', which is due to screen on BBC One later this month.

And now the first trailer has been released, showing a young Danny Fearon being bullied at school, with one yob pinning him to the ground and asking: "Do you think you're some sort of comedian?"

The Comic Relief comedian has said opening up about his childhood is so raw that even his sister will not read the script.

"Because a lot of people in my family are alive, if I'd written it exactly the way my life had been, I would have annoyed a lot of people," the actor said.

"It's a bit like a parallel universe Lenny."

Henry, 56, portrays Samson Fearon in the one-off drama, which stars newcomer Kascion Franklin as aspiring impressionist Danny and Cecilia Noble as his mother Myrtle.

Scores of lucky residents from Dudley will be attending a red carpet preview at the town's Showcase Cinema on Thursday (AUG 20).

The BBC distributed tickets via random draw, and because some of the drama was filmed in and around the town, 50 per cent were earmarked for Dudley postcodes.

The trailer for Danny and the Human Zoo can be viewed on the BBC YouTube account.
