Chad Davis and Jordon James donned dark clothing and walked up to their victim as she sat in her A3 on Linnet Close, Halesowen.

They pulled the 39-year-old out of her car, jumped in and drove off. Today police revealed she was 'still haunted' by the attack, which happened at around 7.30am on January 14 last year.

Two weeks later, they used false plates on the car to use it as a getaway vehicle when they stole a cash box from a security van outside Tesco in Bristnall Hall Road, Oldbury.

Police rushed to the scene and found the Audi parked behind a restaurant in Long Lane, Halesowen.

Security dye, which was believed to have come from the cash box, was found in a a nearby outbuilding.

James was arrested nearby and a phone he had on him was searched and revealed that he had been at the car-jacking scene and the cash box robbery scene.

It linked him to Davis, who was then arrested on April 10.

Davis was jailed for seven years and James was handed a four and a half year sentence when they appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court after admitting two robberies.

Dc Derek Cole said: "The actions of these two were completely unacceptable and it is pleasing that they have been handed lengthy sentences behind bars.

"The victim of the car-jacking continues to be haunted by what happened that day. Fortunately she escaped with only minor injuries but has a constant reminder of what happened whenever she gets into her car.

"This sentencing makes clear that these kinds of crime will not be tolerated in the West Midlands ? our message to offenders is clear, we will find you and we will bring you to justice."
