Officers swooped on a house in Francis Street following information that drugs were being used and sold at the premises.

Class A drugs believed to be heroin and crack cocaine were found.

Three local men aged 21, 40 and 26-years-old were arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. A 14-year-old lad was also arrested during the raid also on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. They are currently in custody.

Inspector Stephen Perry from Wolverhampton police said: "The Whitmore Reans area of Wolverhampton is a diverse and proud community and the unlawful supply and use of drugs is a blight on the neighbourhood and will not be tolerated.

"It is thanks to the local community that they are prepared to speak out about drugs and work with the police to bring offenders to justice.

"Drugs have a huge negative impact on communities and residents are affected not only by the drug dealing and use itself but also by the associated anti-social behaviour that often occurs.

"We will always act on information that comes into us about drugs and other crimes in the local community and ask that people report anything suspicious to us on 101"

  • Anyone affected by drug crime is urged to call police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
