Classes from 1921 to 1978 met up at Mercure Goldthorn Hotel.

All those who attended are part of Wolverhampton Municipal Grammar School- Old Pupils Association, which formed back in 1991.

President of the association Lionel Wernick, 86, who attended the school from 1940-1948, said: "We hold the presidential dinner once a year.

"It is always a brilliant afternoon to bring people who went to school 75 years ago back together."

Committee member, Anne Richardson, 71, from Finchfield added: "I attended the school from 1955-1960 and these reunions are always so lovely to come to.

"It is fantastic to see so many people turn up, it is great opportunity for us all to catch up. It is such a warming atmosphere to be in."
