The store will be officially launched by local dance troupe, Livingstone Dance Academy, who will begin a day of celebrations by cutting a ceremonial ribbon at 9am.

Store manager Julie Osborne said: "There's a real buzz around town about the store opening. We're hoping that our blend of well-known brands and great value will make us a firm favourite with local and visiting shoppers alike."

Shoppers at the 12,300 sq ft store will find a wide range of men's, ladies' and children's fashions, as well as homeware, electrical goods and beauty products.

New deals will be introduced every week

The Original Factory Shop chain started in 1969 as part of Peter Black's selling surplus M&S stock.
