Person cut from car following four-vehicle crash on M54

One person had to be cut from their car after a crash near Featherstone this evening.

A West Midlands fire control spokesman said four cars were involved in the collision, which happened about 6:45pm, closing the slip road to the M54 for about an hour.

The crash happened at the junction 1 island, and two fire appliances from Fallings Park station attended.

A rescue tender from Staffordshire had also been called, but was stood down before it reached the scene.

The spokesman said a man was cut from his vehicle by the fire service and taken to hospital with neck injuries.
