Wanted Sandwell burglar caught by police
A burglar wanted by Sandwell police is now back behind bars after being arrested today following an anonymous tip-off.
Daniel Evans, aged 23, was found at an address in the St Georges area of Telford at around 8.45am after officers received a tip-off on his whereabouts.
Police had been searching for him after he failed to comply with his residency and licence conditions following his release from prison for burglary. He is currently in police custody.
PC Paul Bryant said: "I would like to thank all those members of the public who shared the wanted appeal to find Evans on Facebook, which we know prompted the call that led us directly to him.
"This shows how we rely on information from the public and how much you can make a difference. I would urge anyone else with information about our other wanted people to call us on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
