Rowley Regis lorry driver who died after M6 collision named

A lorry driver, who was fatally injured after a serious collision on the M6 motorway has been named.

59-year-old Keith George Sankey, from Rowley Regis, was pronounced dead at the scene, following a collision between three lorries.

The driver of the one of the other lorries was injured and taken to University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire for treatment, and was discharged later the same day.

The third driver was not injured.

The collision occurred on the northbound carriageway of the M6, between the Catthorpe Interchange and junction 19 of the M1, at around 11.33pm, on Tuesday, March 17.

The indcident caused delays of 90 minutes.

Any witnesses of the collision, or anyone who saw the vehicles beforehand is urged to contact the police on 101.
