Flashy Steven Fletcher's £330k car is an own goal
Posing next to a sprawling mansion and £330,000 car driven by Batman, it's a good look for Steven Fletcher - especially seeing as he's only scored seven goals in almost two years.
The photo of the former Wolves striker has emerged on Twitter and comes as current club Sunderland battle relegation from the Premier League.
Sunderland were humiliated when they lost 4-0 at home to previously goal-shy Aston Villa at the weekend.
And thousands of social media users haven't missed an opportunity to poke fun at Fletcher, who is said to earn £28,000 a week but has barely found the net since August 2013.
The Lamborghini Aventador is driven by Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight Rises. And in the picture there is also what appears to be a Bentley Supersport, which can fetch around £160,000.
Many retweeted the picture, which was posted by various football accounts including spoof account BBC Sporf which said: "Steven Fletcher: Two seasons, seven goals, one new Lamborghini Aventador."
Another account, Sunday League FC, said: "This is what seven goals in two seasons for Sunderland buys you. Steven Fletcher is stealing a living."
Mark Sparkes, from Birmingham, said: "That photo is all that's wrong with the Premier League, rewarding mediocrity."
It is unclear when the photo was taken but it is likely to enrage Sunderland supporters who are worried for their club's future, with manager Gus Poyet sacked on Monday and replaced by Dick Advocaat.
Fletcher earned the wrath of Wolves fans when leaving the club for Sunderland in 2012.
He handed in a transfer request, tweeting at the time: "Just handed in a transfer request just to let the fans know where I am at right now." He added the hashtag 'head's gone'.
Fletcher was soon sold for £12m. His first season at Sunderland was a success, with 11 goals in 28 games, but just seven goals have followed in the past two seasons.
