Cyclist airlifted to hospital with 'serious' injuries after Perton crash
A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a collision in Perton this morning.
The man, aged in his 60s, was involved in a collision with a female motorcyclist cyclist outside the Pear and Partridge pub, The Parkway, at 7:35am.
Steve Parry, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, said: "A male cyclist in his sixties was treated for a serious head injury. The patient was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board. He was anaesthetised by a doctor at the scene before being airlifted the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
The motorcyclist was treated at the scene for back pain, before being taken to New Cross Hospital by land ambulance.
