International beers on offer during 17 day local festival

Beer enthusiasts from the city will be able to enjoy a range of ten real ales from across the world, alongside beers from the UK, during a 17 day festival held at Wetherspoons pubs in the Black Country.

The overseas beers will be on offer at The Moon Under Water in Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton, The Royal Tiger in High Street, Wednesfield and The Sir Henry Newbolt in High Street, Bilston, have been sourced from brewers in New Zealand, the USA, Holland, Australia, Belgium and Italy.

They will complement up to 40 beers from across the UK also being served in the pubs during the festival.

The Moon Under Water manager, Nicola Munslow, said: "The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers, many of which have not been served in the pub before.

"Seven of the beers on offer have been brewed by women brewers and I am delighted to showcase their excellent beers in the pub.

"The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that my customers will enjoy themselves."

The pubs will serve new, seasonal and speciality beers, including those flavoured with ginger, heather and honey, toffee, herbs and spices and cinnamon and nutmeg.

The festival will run from October 17 to November 2.
